Anbernic RG35XX Pro reaches reviewers

A number of retro handheld reviewers, including TV Kenichi, have received the new Anbernic RG35XX Pro ahead of its imminent launch. An obvious successor to the totally-”not”-Anbernic BattleEXP G350, the specs of this new handheld are pretty standard for the XX line: dual analog joystick layout, AllWinner H700 chip, 2GB LPDDR4 RAM, and a 3.5-inch, 640x480 resolution IPS display.

Dolphin Emulator update brings 120FPS support (15 minute read)

The Dolphin Emulator's June 2025 Progress Report has been released. The update (Release 25.06) brings performance and compatibility improvements for GameCube and Wii emulation, including JIT compiler and GPU rendering optimizations, enhanced macOS support, and a handful of game-specific bug fixes. The biggest addition, however, is 120 FPS support, enabling smoother gameplay for supported titles.

Nvidia CEO calls the Switch 2 CPU “a technical marvel” (3 minute video)

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has praised the Nintendo Switch 2’s custom CPU in a new edition of Nintendo’s Creator’s Voice series, calling it a “technical marvel” unlike anything Nvidia has built before. He highlighted three major breakthroughs: the most advanced graphics for a mobile device, full hardware ray tracing with HDR for enhanced visuals, and an architecture supporting backward compatibility. Nintendeal on X has shared a comprehensive list of Nintendo Switch titles that are receiving updates for the Switch 2. Changes vary by game, but typically contain performance, graphical and control improvements.

Sonic Blitz, a card collecting battling game, launches for mobile

SEGA and Rovio Entertainment have mysteriously shadow-dropped a new Sonic mobile game named Sonic Blitz. Taking more than a little inspiration from the highly popular Pokemon TCG Pocket, Sonic Blitz is a card-collecting game with battles, too. The catch? It’s only available in the Philippines right now.
