In yesterday’s poll, over 75% of participants said they were not getting a Switch 2 on day one. Still, it looks like the Switch 2 launch has been a massive success!

New York Gamestop destroys Switch 2 screens

A Gamestop store Staten Island, New York has reportedly damaged multiple customer Switch 2 units by stapling receipts to the front of the box, and straight into the handheld’s screen 😱 I sure hope the store will honour returns…

Multiple reports of OG Switch games that didn’t get any kind of patch are seeing substantial improvements on Switch 2. Not unexpected, but still great to see.

New metal-shelled handheld coming from Anbernic

Retro Handhelds have revealed a new metal-shelled handheld, the RG477M, coming soon from Anbernic. It appears to have a large 4.7” 4:3 display, dual bottom analog sticks, and a Dimensity 8300. Could this be the same display that will be used in the RG Slide?

Retroid teases a dual-screen handheld?

Retroid’s X account has been sending out some cryptic messages lately, such as a double-scoop ice cream cone, an image of a two-headed snake and a link to Bill and Ted’s “Two is better than one”. The actual meaning is anybody’s guess, but doesn’t it seem like they’re teasing a dual-screen handheld!?

Anbernic releases overview of new AI app with instant game translation

Anbernic has released a new video of their custom-built AI assistant app, showcasing some very interesting features including real-time translation. Whilst initially sceptical of this development, I’m actually impressed by the real-time translation feature- it will enable players to play regional exclusives, such as visual novels, in a more convenient way than before.
